Steve Blank has 32 years of personal recovery from addiction while also working in the field of treatment and recovery. He holds a master’s degree in Human Services from Lincoln University, International Certification in Co-occurring Disorders, and is a Certified Recovery Coach. His path that led him to this career is simple, when he had a problem with addiction, he was fortunate enough to receive the help he needed which was a life changing experience. Early in his recovery he was blessed with the opportunity to offer others what was provided to him.
Throughout his career of helping others, it has remained a priority for him to continue to take care of himself, while not getting lost in assisting others with their journey. He has watched that happen to many others and could not picture going through that pain again. He has chosen to remain grateful every day and never forget where he came from. “It is a fact, that some days are less than wonderful, but my bad days now, are nothing compared to what my bad days were back then.” Not everyone is fortunate enough to be given an opportunity for recovery, but when you do get that opportunity, the rest is up to you. He has always remained passionate about helping and supporting others who want to take the first steps on a journey to a better life and assisting in guiding the process to long term, ongoing recovery.
